In order to offer highly efficient solutions for cogeneration (combined heat and power), mini and microturbines have been developed in the small and medium power range.
Microturbines are used in civil engineering, condominiums and large residential complexes, hotels, office and administrative buildings, hospitals, airports, agriculture, industry, mining, waste processing plants and municipal wastewater treatment plants: almost everywhere a flexible and efficient solution for energy and heat production is needed.
Unlike other technologies, turbines create very low levels of emissions, vibration and noise, making them particularly suitable for use in urban areas.
Applications related to the transition include use in electric vehicle charging stations as a power booster and in smart grids as an energy buffer (with the added benefit of a battery system also providing heat).
